- Throughout this week, Politeknika Txorierri will host 50 students and 10 European teachers in order to work together on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) associated with climate change.
- Politeknika Txorierri will be the only school in Spain to participate in this Erasmus+ project, co-financed by the European Union, which aims to raise awareness among students about the importance of taking actions to fight climate change.
- This is a new European project where students will travel for a week to each of the partner schools. In addition to continuing to work on the SDGs, the exchange will help students to learn about the culture and civic processes of each locality.
50 students between 16 and 18 years old, together with their teachers and coming from different parts of Europe, will work together for a week in Politeknika Txorierri to implement the new Erasmus+ project.
Politeknika Txorierri, the only participating school in this project at national level, will be the main venue for a week for students from Agnieten College Zwartsluis (Netherlands), Køge Handelsskole (Denmark), Friedrich-List-Schule Lübeck (Germany), Landstede Zwolle (Netherlands) and Politeknika Txorierri. They will address the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on those associated with climate change.
This is a new European project where students will travel for a week to each location of the partner schools. Each of the visit will define the objectives of climate change in order to find a climate solution applicable to the schools.
Anabel Menica, coordinator of the Innovation and Internationalization Department at Politeknika Txorierri, emphasizes that “with this project we want to work and propose solutions at national, regional and local level, which can be transferred to their own educational centers”.
To this end, students will carry out group dynamics, talks and teamwork to achieve the objectives set. They will also take advantage of the exchange to go on excursions to learn about the culture and civic processes of each locality.
It is hoped that the solutions proposed in this project will be implemented in the daily life of each center and that this process will inspire other centers to implement them also.
